About the Author
Dan DeWitt is the dean of Boyce College, the undergraduate school of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He previously served as the lead pastor of the Campus Church on the campus of the University of Louisville. DeWitt and his wife, April, have been married for more than twelve years and are the proud parents of Isaiah, Micah, Josiah and Addilynn Joy. DeWitt posts regularly on his blog theolatte.com.

helpful collection of essays on evangelism

This is a short book, with 9 chapters each written by different men, almost all of them associated with Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (or Boyce College, Southern's undergrad school).
The purpose of the book is to "help you cultivate you craving to see grace extend to more and more people so that it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God... It's our goal that the following pages serve you by fanning your passion for the glory of God." (p. 10) It's split into two sections "For the Church" and "For the Christian" speaking to the corporate and the individual aspects of evangelism. "For the Church" deals with a theology of evangelism, preaching, how it relates to church discipline, and how to have a witnessing community. This was for me the most helpful part of the book. The second half has chapters on how to evangelize youth, nominal christians, world religions, Muslims in particular, and skeptics.
In all this was a good exhortation to glorify God by proclaiming His good news, with a few practical helps as well.
